Obama's "Green Jobs" Czar Van Jones resigned today, after even the Mainstream Media could no longer entirely ignore Jones' signature on a 9-11 Truther petition alongside such intellectual heavyweights as Jenine Garofalo and Cynthia McKinney.

When Van Jones (who was empowered to spend billions of your tax dollars with the stroke of his pen) explained that he often signs documents without reading them, well, shucks. You can see where there was some embarrassment for Barack Obama.

Now watch as The Dear Leader pretends that he didn't know Van Jones was a Communist, Revolutionary, Race-Baiter, Cop-Hater, and 9-11 Truther. For those of you keeping score, that leaves 31 more Communist/Revolutionary/Race-Baiting/Cop-Hating/9-11 Truther Czars to go!

It's true that sunlight is the best disinfectant. And disinfectants work.

A Supreme Court justice who believes your right to keep and bear arms doesn't apply. Snitch lines so the federal government can track the speech and activities of political opponents. Legions of socialist labor thugs who can be massed anywhere, anytime. Berlin has nothing on the Chicago way.

The Tyranny of Empathy

Obama's "empathy" candidate Sonia Sotomayor was confirmed yesterday for the U.S. Supreme Court. All she had to do was lie and equivocate at the confirmation hearings about everything she has said and done for the last few decades. And that's a small price to pay for the greater good of liberal "social justice," right?

She has said numerous times in the past that a wise Latina woman would make a better decision than a white man. That's racist. She has said that appellate courts are where policy is made. That's judicial activism.

In January 2009, she signed a ruling that the Second Amendment does NOT apply to the States (so I guess you only have a right to keep and bear arms in D.C... oh, snap!). From CNSNews.com's Matt Cover: "In Maloney v. Cuomo, Sotomayor signed an opinion of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit that said the Second Amendment does not protect individuals from having their right to keep and bear arms restricted by state governments."

In this case, a man was arrested in New York State for having a pair of nunchuks. Seriously.

Sotomayor has also said in the past that no judge can be objective. Hey, it's all about empathy. In her wise Latina mind, liberal protected classes are more equal than others. Yet, here is the oath that she will swear to uphold:

"I, [NAME], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will administer justice without respect to persons, and do equal right to the poor and to the rich, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me as [TITLE] under the Constitution and laws of the United States. So help me God."

When asked at the confirmation hearings about how she could swear to uphold this oath despite her personal beliefs and past statements on the issue, she launched into a verbal tapdance and never answered the question.

When I swore my oath to support and defend the Constitution, if I had any reservations, I would have been dismissed from service.

Conservatives like me take oaths and the Constitution seriously and literally. Left-wing judges apparently don't have to.

Keep watch, America. And start stockpiling nunchuks now!

Green is the New Red

Van "I don't care what the facts look like" Jones is Obama's appointed "Green Jobs Czar."

Unelected, unconfirmed, unexamined, and unrepentant, he describes himself as a "Communist" and a "Revolutionary."

I'm not making this up.

With $60 billion to spend, not only has he not created a single "green job," he can't even explain what a green job is.

During a conference call today about Obamacare,
when asked about the House bill that regulates
private health insurance out of existence,
The Dear Leader admitted that
he wasn't familiar with the bill.
But he promised you can keep your private health insurance.
Well, which is it?
Are you ignorant or are you lying?
And will all the people aged 75+
get to stare at your teddy bear poster
as they are denied rationed treatment,
then languish and die under your plan?
(Cue Barber's "Adagio for Strings"
and exeunt omnes).

ObamaCare

Yeah, what could go wrong?

It's funny how Democrat politicians
like President Obama
who force American kids
to keep going to abysmal public schools
send their own kids to private schools.
...But no vouchers for you.
(At least Republicans try to give everyone a choice).

Similarly, with National Socialist Healthcare,
which will ultimately bankrupt all private health insurance,
leaving us no choice...
Congress has their own, separate health plan.
And the President gets a personal physician.
...But no CAT-scans for you.

Whatever happened to leadership by example?
Don't force things on me
