Remember back in April when Obama bowed to the Saudi king, and then Minister of Propaganda Robert Gibbs baldly insisted our eyes were lying to us and it was just a handshake? Well, here we go again: Obama bowed to the Emporer of Japan yesterday.
Quick, get Gibbs on the phone to explain this one away!
Bowing to royalty is a sign of fealty. It embraces a caste system which America rejected at our founding as a nation. It is a breach of protocol and an embarrassment. If it happened once, well, maybe just a mistake.
But twice?
